On the occasion of the recent elections of the members of the Small Industry Committee of Confindustria Bergamo, which this year saw the renewal of its board, Giulia Ghidini, Production Director at Imex, has been elected as a Board Member.
Giulia Ghidini’s appointment represents a confirmation within an already well-established path: this is in fact her second experience within the Small Industry Committee, after having actively participated in previous mandates.
Over the years, Giulia has contributed to the Committee’s activities under the leadership of Aniello Aliberti and Oscar Panseri, closely experiencing the evolution and dynamics of a key body supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
Today, this journey continues under the presidency of Matteo Assolari – Cava dell’Isola, a fourth-generation entrepreneur with a strong legal and managerial background. His profile stands out for a contemporary vision of business, focused on innovation, sustainability, and strategic development.
The role of Vice President has been assigned to Giada Zambelli – Panestetic, and Diego Lussana – Socaf, while former president Oscar Panseri – Chimiver remains part of the board.

At the end of the Assembly, the public event “Beyond the myth of ‘small is beautiful’” took place, featuring contributions from Silvia Berzoni, international financial journalist, and Carlo Alberto Carnevale-Maffé, Professor of Strategy at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
During the meeting, it clearly emerged—supported by concrete data—that even small companies are required to structure themselves and evolve in a managerial sense in order to effectively face ongoing changes.
The Bergamo industrial district confirms its importance in terms of revenue and number of employees, but it must maintain strong focus on technological innovation, a key driver for sustaining and boosting productivity.
Another key aspect concerns governance models: the prevalence of family-run businesses, often centralized and vertical, can represent a limitation to the development and enhancement of internal skills.
