LegnoLive! 2025: a bridge between companies and the new generations

Imex a LegnoLive! 2025

LegnoLive!, the initiative promoted by the Wood Group of Confindustria Bergamo to bring high school students closer to the world of Wood Technology and professions linked to the wood supply chain, has reached its third edition.

The project has been created to introduce young people to a sector rich in skills, innovation, and concrete opportunities, fostering direct dialogue between schools and businesses. IMEX also took part again this year, helping to showcase the vitality and full potential of a field that is constantly evolving.

A more dynamic, engaging format

This year’s edition saw strong participation from students, thanks to a renewed and more interactive format. Testimonials were entrusted to young entrepreneurs and children of entrepreneurs active in local companies, who shared their experiences, personal journeys, and visions for the future of the sector with students from local schools.

The students were actively involved: each class, through the intervention of a representative, was asked questions about what they had heard from the entrepreneurs and speakers, generating a lively and spontaneous discussion.

A meaningful part of the event was dedicated to advice offered to the students by entrepreneurs and young professionals already working in companies: a valuable moment to reflect on what it truly means to grow within a business, face daily challenges, develop skills, and find one’s path in a sector where tradition and innovation coexist.

An entrepreneurial system open to dialogue

A clear message emerged from LegnoLive!: there is an entrepreneurial system eager to engage with the world of education. The goal is to build training paths that are more aligned with real-world needs and more fulfilling from a practical perspective, providing companies with young people who—though not yet fully trained—can arrive with a more informed understanding of topics, materials, and tools.

LegnoLive: looking ahead

LegnoLive! will take place again next year: the Wood Group of Confindustria is committed to working with vocational schools across the Bergamo area to develop orientation activities, workshops, and dedicated initiatives.

This represents another step toward more structured collaboration between schools and businesses—essential for supporting the future of the wood supply chain and guiding young people in the choices that will shape their professional journeys.

Imex’s contribution to LegnoLive! 2025

For IMEX, participating in LegnoLive! means reaffirming its commitment to enhancing the wood supply chain and passing on expertise to the next generations.

Bringing our experience into a context like this allows us not only to share what we do, but also to listen to the needs, questions, and aspirations of students—helping to shape a future in which schools and companies can collaborate ever more closely, creating training paths that support students in finding their direction while enabling businesses to grow alongside new, aware, and motivated talents.
