On Tuesday 10 December 2024, the appointment was held with the young people of one of the first level comprehensive schools in the area on the occasion of the PMI Day, organized by Confindustria Bergamo in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese Bergamo and Confagricoltura Bergamo.
The PMI Day, now in its fifteenth edition, aims to encourage intergenerational dialogue and transmit business culture to the younger generations through visits to the company and direct experience of the workflows of small and medium-sized businesses. Italian companies, and the value that they bring to the country’s economy.
Imex also participated in the event, welcoming a class of eighth grade girls and boys into its offices, warehouses and operational and exhibition areas, illustrating the operational processes, telling them about the wood sector supply chain, making them understand that the The raw material supply comes from responsibly managed forests, exploring the possibilities for collaboration and growth in a small business.
Building, in Imex
This year’s theme of PMI Day is “Building“, and the kids were involved in creating a frame, using the material made available to them, simulating the company production process. The project was welcomed with enthusiasm, the students put their skills and creativity to the test, and were able to take home a memory of the day spent with us.
The visit to the company ended with a speech by Mauro Ghidini, founder and president of Imex, who involved the young generations by telling curiosities and anecdotes, and urging them not to conform and to express themselves for who they really are, to bring out the characteristics that they make them and will make them unique and different from others, both in life and in study, and one day also in work.
As always, Pmi Day was a wonderful day full of energy and exchange, which enriched both us and the kids. And which will continue with a second appointment scheduled for January 10th, directly in one of the classrooms of the Serina and Costa Serina middle schools. Stay with us for updates, news and reports on the new event.
